Wangaratta: Vintage Area Map Print

No reviews
Regular price $149.00

This archival reproduction of an early 20th-century map of Wangaratta, Victoria presents a detailed view of the town and surrounding districts during a period of steady regional growth. With clearly defined roads, property boundaries, waterways, and township divisions, it captures the landscape at a time when agriculture and transport shaped daily life across northeast Victoria.

Situated at the junction of the Ovens and King Rivers, Wangaratta served as a key connection point between rural producers and larger trade routes. This map reflects the town’s early structure—before suburban expansion and infrastructure reshaped the area’s footprint—offering a glimpse into its formative years.

Printed from high-resolution archival material, the map retains the original linework and cartographic character of the source. Ideal for collectors of Australian historical maps, regional history enthusiasts, or anyone with personal ties to Wangaratta, it brings quiet historical depth to any space.

Fun Fact: By the early 1900s, Wangaratta had become a thriving service centre for local farms and rail-linked towns, with its rivers and roads central to life and commerce in the region.

Warrnambool: Vintage Area Map Print 1948

No reviews
Regular price $149.00

This faithfully reproduced map of Warrnambool, Victoria, originally published in 1948, offers a detailed snapshot of the coastal city during a period of post-war growth and regional development. The map captures the structure of the town and its surrounding districts, with clearly marked roads, rail lines, coastal features, and land divisions that reflect mid-century life in southwest Victoria.

Positioned along the rugged Southern Ocean coastline, Warrnambool had by this time grown into a key port and service centre for the Western District. This map reflects that era—when rail transport, agriculture, and maritime trade shaped the rhythm of daily life in the region.

Reproduced from original archival materials, this print preserves the character of the original cartography—offering fine detail, authentic typography, and a strong sense of place. A fitting piece for lovers of Australian regional history, cartography collectors, or anyone with personal ties to Warrnambool and the Great Ocean Road region.

Fun Fact: In 1948, Warrnambool was a thriving coastal hub, with steam rail still active and the dairy industry powering much of the local economy.

Wellington (New Zealand): Vintage Area Map Print (1899)

No reviews
Regular price $148.00

This Map of the City of Wellington, originally produced in 1899, presents a richly detailed portrait of New Zealand’s capital at the turn of the 20th century. Created during a period of rapid urban expansion, the map captures Wellington as it evolved from a compact harbour settlement into a confident administrative and commercial centre. Every contour of the waterfront, every street climbing the city’s steep hillsides, and every early civic landmark is rendered with remarkable accuracy, reflecting the precision of late-Victorian cartography.

The map highlights Wellington’s early street grid, developing Government Centre, tram routes, and the bustling port that shaped the city’s identity. From the curves of Lambton Harbour to the tightly woven streets of Te Aro, it offers a fascinating window into the daily rhythms and spatial character of Wellington in the late 1800s. Reproduced from a carefully restored historical source, this print offers a clear, authentic glimpse into the city’s past—perfect for map collectors, Wellington locals, or anyone with an interest in New Zealand’s heritage.

Fun Fact: By the late 1890s, Wellington had recently become New Zealand’s official capital, and detailed maps like this helped residents navigate a city transforming through reclamation works, government expansion, and growing transport links.

Wollongong Vintage Area Map Print 1884

1 review
Regular price $148.00

This 1884 vintage map of Wollongong, NSW offers a fascinating glimpse into the city’s early days, long before the coal mines and steelworks transformed the landscape. Showcasing the rugged coastline, nascent townships, and surrounding farmlands, the map captures Wollongong at a pivotal moment in its growth, just as it began evolving from a quiet coastal settlement into a bustling industrial hub.

Every detail — from winding roads and parish lines to natural features like creeks and hills — tells the story of a community shaped by both the sea and the land. The hand-drawn artistry evokes a time when Wollongong’s harbour was a vital gateway for trade and fishing, connecting locals with the wider world. For collectors and history enthusiasts alike, this print is a rare window into New South Wales’ rich heritage.

Perfect for those passionate about Australian history, vintage cartography, or the Illawarra region, this map brings a touch of timeless elegance and storytelling to any space. Whether displayed as a statement piece or cherished as a unique keepsake, it celebrates Wollongong’s origins with authenticity and style.

Fun Fact: In the late 19th century, Wollongong’s port was already buzzing with activity, serving as a key export point for coal mined just inland—an industry that would define the city’s identity for generations.

Woollahra: Vintage Map Print Circa 1929

Regular price $149.00

This vintage district map of Woollahra, dating to around 1929, captures Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs at a moment of quiet confidence and refinement. Featuring Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Point Piper and Paddington, the map records these now-iconic neighbourhoods as they appeared between the wars, with streets, boundaries and coastal contours carefully laid out. It reflects a period when the area was firmly established as one of Sydney’s most desirable residential districts yet still carried the character of an earlier era.

By the late 1920s, Woollahra had become a blend of grand harbourside homes, tree-lined streets and tightly held residential pockets. This map highlights the suburb’s unique mix of coastal access and urban planning, showing how land was divided, developed and connected at a time when Sydney was expanding outward rather than upward. From sweeping waterfront blocks in Point Piper to the denser streets of Paddington, it tells the story of how prestige and practicality shaped the area.

Fun fact: In the 1920s, Point Piper and Vaucluse were still considered something of a retreat from the city, with many residents relying on ferries across the harbour rather than roads to reach the CBD.

Woy Woy Enchantment: Vintage Map Print

Regular price $149.00

This vintage map of Woy Woy and its surrounding district captures a formative chapter in the history of the NSW Central Coast. Charting the waterways, streets and natural features of the area, it offers a glimpse of Woy Woy as it emerged from a quiet coastal settlement into a well-connected regional hub.

By the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Woy Woy was undergoing rapid change. The arrival of the railway in 1888 transformed the town, opening it up to trade, tourism and regular movement from Sydney. Industries such as fishing, oyster farming and boatbuilding flourished along the Brisbane Water foreshore, while visitors were drawn to the calm bays, bushland and relaxed pace of life. This map reflects that period of growth, showing how the town developed around its waterways while retaining a strong sense of place.

Fun fact: In the early 1900s, many holidaymakers travelled to Woy Woy by train with boats in tow, launching them straight into Brisbane Water for days of fishing and exploring the surrounding inlets.
