This sizing info is designed to help you compare framed and unframed art sizes, making it easier to understand the differences and choose the best option for your space.

FRAMED ART

Frame Details: 

Framing Dimensions: The outer dimensions of the frame are larger than the actual print size. For example, an A1 framed print consists of an A1 print, plus the matboard and frame, all resulting in a total measurement of the outside of the frame being 75cm x 100cm.

Matboard: Our frames include a white matboard that enhances the presentation and provides space between the artwork and the glass. This matboard typically measures around 50-60mm. 

Image Size: The actual image size will be smaller than the frame size. For an A1 framed print, the image itself will measure 58cm x 83cm approx., allowing for the matboard and frame around it.

UNFRAMED ART

Actual Dimensions: Unframed art prints are produced in their true dimensions. For example, an A1 art print will measure 594mm x 841mm as an A1 sheet of paper would.

White Border: Our art prints come with an additional white border to enhance framing options and presentation. For instance, an A1 print will include a 10mm white border around the image, increasing the total size slightly but preserving the integrity of the artwork when framing.

Display Considerations: When planning to display your unframed art, consider both the print size and the border, as this will affect how it fits into your chosen frame.
