Jervis Bay: Vintage Locality Map 1960's Print

2 reviews
Regular price $148.00

Take a trip back in time with this stunning vintage locality map print of Jervis Bay and Nowra, NSW, straight from the 1960s. This vintage map isn’t just a piece of art; it’s a snapshot of a simpler time, when these coastal gems were known more for their untouched beauty than their tourist hotspots.

Jervis Bay, with its crystal-clear waters and white-sand beaches, is home to some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Australia—and it was pretty stunning even back then. Nowra, nestled nearby, has grown into the buzzing regional centre it is today, but this map captures the area’s classic charm before it became the go-to spot for weekend getaways and nature lovers.

Whether you're a local or just a lover of coastal Aussie history, this map brings that nostalgic, laid-back vibe right into your home. It’s the perfect way to bring a piece of historical Australian coastal art into your space with a touch of coastal cool.

Fun Fact: Jervis Bay is home to some of the world’s whitest sands, and back in the 60s, it was the secret retreat for locals looking to escape the city. Now, it's a haven for nature lovers, with the bay being one of the best spots for dolphin and whale watching.

This map makes a bold statement, so whether you’re sprucing up your living room, adding some personality to your bedroom, or finally getting that gallery wall going, it’s a unique way to honour the rich history and natural beauty of this iconic part of the NSW coast.

Perfect for: Anyone with a love for Australian history, coastal vibes, and vintage art that makes a statement.

Gosford Gem: Vintage Map Central Coast Print 1887

Regular price $149.00

This vintage map print presents Gosford circa 1887, capturing the township at an early moment in its development, just two years after it was formally gazetted. Centered on the waterfront settlement, the map records the emerging street layout and land divisions that defined Gosford’s initial relationship with Brisbane Water.

Produced during a formative period, the map reflects a town still taking shape, with development closely tied to the harbour’s edge rather than extensive inland expansion. Its measured scope highlights the practical concerns of a young settlement: access, allotment, and orientation to the water.

Quiet and historically grounded, this map offers a restrained record of Gosford’s beginnings. It suits interiors that value regional history, early Australian town planning, and cartography that documents place through structure and geography rather than decoration.

Fun fact: Gosford takes its name from Archibald Acheson, the 2nd Earl of Gosford, who served as Governor General of British North America — despite never setting foot in Australia.

Bathurst Time Travel: Vintage Map Print 1911

Regular price $149.00

This vintage map of Bathurst circa 1911 offers a detailed snapshot of one of Australia’s oldest inland cities at a time of confidence and growth. Carefully charting streets, rail lines and surrounding land, it presents Bathurst as a substantial regional centre well before it became synonymous with motorsport.

In the early twentieth century, Bathurst was a key hub for agriculture, education and administration in New South Wales. Its broad streets and orderly layout, clearly shown on this map, reflect the city’s importance and ambition, shaped by the gold rush decades earlier and sustained by its role as a gateway to the Central West. The map captures Bathurst before modern expansion, revealing a city defined by careful planning and strong civic identity.

Fun fact: In 1911, Mount Panorama was still farmland and bush — it wouldn’t be used as a motor racing circuit for another two decades.

Port Stephens City Vintage Subdivision Map Print 1920's

No reviews
Regular price $149.00

The Port Stephens – 1st Subdivision Estate City Map offers a beautifully understated look at early coastal planning along this iconic stretch of New South Wales. Produced in the 1920s, it captures the region at a moment when Port Stephens was beginning to shift from a quiet shoreline into a more defined community. The layout is simple but assured—streets, allotments, and coastal contours arranged with the measured clarity typical of early subdivision maps.

One of its most distinctive details is the row of sold lots marked in red along Cove Boulevard, lining the waterfront with an early wave of interest in what would become some of the area’s most sought-after land. It’s a small but telling glimpse of the era’s optimism and the beginnings of Port Stephens’ coastal appeal.

There’s a quiet charm in the minimal typography and open spacing, giving the map a balanced, airy aesthetic that suits both modern and heritage-inspired interiors. It’s an elegant piece for those connected to Port Stephens, lovers of Australian coastal history, or anyone drawn to classic map design with a gentle, timeless presence.

Fun Fact: The early 20th century saw a surge of subdivision activity around Port Stephens as new residents and holidaymakers discovered the region—each map capturing a moment in Australia’s evolving coastal story.

Dunedin (New Zealand): Vintage Area Map Print 1886

No reviews
Regular price $149.00

This reproduction of Stone’s Handy Street Map of Dunedin, originally published in 1886, offers a richly detailed view of the city during its Victorian-era boom. As one of the most comprehensive street maps of its time, it charts Dunedin’s early street grid, tram routes, public buildings, and waterfront areas with striking precision.

Drawn during a period when Dunedin was New Zealand’s commercial heart—buoyed by the gold rush and a thriving port economy—this map captures a vital moment in the city’s urban and social development. From the winding lines of the Town Belt to the tightly packed blocks of the Octagon, the map is a window into late 19th-century life.

Reproduced from high-resolution archival scans, this print retains the typography, layout, and cartographic style of the original map. It’s an exceptional piece for map collectors, New Zealand history enthusiasts, or anyone connected to Dunedin’s heritage.

Fun Fact: J.W. Stone was a prominent publisher in Otago during the late 1800s, and his street maps became essential tools for locals navigating Dunedin’s growing cityscape.

Every detail — from winding roads and parish lines to natural features like creeks and hills — tells the story of a community shaped by both the sea and the land. The hand-drawn artistry evokes a time when Wollongong’s harbour was a vital gateway for trade and fishing, connecting locals with the wider world. Newcastle Vintage Area Map Print 1908

No reviews
Regular price $148.00

This 1908 map of Newcastle, NSW captures the city and its surroundings at a turning point in its history. Featuring the Parish of Newcastle, the winding course of the Hunter River, and the wide, undeveloped reach of Fullerton Cove, it presents the region before modern infrastructure reshaped the landscape.

Drawn with the crisp detail typical of early 20th-century cartography, this print shows more than just roads and rivers — it reflects the early surveyed layout and land divisions of a city that was rapidly growing into a key industrial and maritime hub. Coal, rail, and river trade were already defining the area, and this map records the framework upon which that transformation would later occur.

Ideal for anyone with a connection to Newcastle or a love of historical prints, this piece brings local heritage into your space with understated character. Whether you're styling a study, gifting to a history enthusiast, or building out a wall of vintage maps, it brings depth, texture, and a clear sense of place.

Fun Fact:
Before Newcastle Harbour became the region’s dominant port, Fullerton Cove was once considered as a possible site for major deepwater shipping, thanks to its natural access and navigable waters.

Narooma: Vintage Area Map Print 1885

1 review
Regular price $148.00

This original 1885 survey map print of Narooma captures the quiet beginnings of one of the South Coast’s most loved towns, known at the time as Noorooma — a detail retained on the map itself. With its hand-drawn lines, natural ageing, and raw paper texture, it’s a genuine piece of local history — unpolished, honest, and beautifully detailed.

The map shows the early layout of the area: land allotments, waterways, and survey markings that trace how the town first took shape. No added colours, no modern editing — just the real thing, exactly as it was recorded more than a century ago.

This piece works quietly in a space. It’s for those who appreciate a slower aesthetic — something grounded, with a sense of place. Whether it reminds you of holidays, family ties, or simply your love for Australian coastal towns, this print brings that connection home.

Printed with care on archival paper that honours the integrity of the original, it’s ideal for considered interiors — layered, personal, and thoughtfully curated.

Adrift: Vintage Elegance Captured 1940's

Regular price $59.00

Weightless and dreamlike, ADRIFT captures a fleeting moment of stillness and grace through the lens of legendary fashion photographer Toni Frissell. Shot in the 1940s, this side-angled composition reveals a woman suspended in water, her flowing dress fanned out like a silk cloud. The textures of light, fabric, and rippling water create a surreal harmony — part fashion, part meditation.

This is more than a vintage photograph. It’s a study in softness, surrender, and the quiet power of presence. Whether styled in a modern minimal space, a fashion-forward gallery wall, or a reflective nook, ADRIFT brings an undercurrent of elegance that never feels forced — just felt.

Melbourne: Victorian Railways Map Print 1882

Regular price $80.00

This 1882 Victorian Railways map of Melbourne and its suburban lines captures the city at a time when rail was rapidly shaping how people lived, worked, and moved across the region. Rendered in vintage sepia tones, the map traces the growing web of railway lines extending from the city into surrounding suburbs, revealing just how central the rail network was to Melbourne’s expansion in the late nineteenth century.

Originally produced as a practical reference, the map details stations, junctions, and routes that connected emerging communities to the city centre. Many of the lines shown would go on to define suburb boundaries and commuting patterns that still exist today, making this piece as relevant as it is historical.

Fun fact: By the 1880s, Melbourne had one of the largest suburban rail networks in the world, earning it the nickname “the railway city” among visiting planners.

Balmain Timeless Tapestry Lithograph Map Print

Regular price $149.00

This vintage lithograph map of Balmain, Sydney offers a richly detailed glimpse into one of the city’s most historically layered neighbourhoods. Carefully drawn and full of period character, it captures Balmain as it was known in the nineteenth century, when its streets and shoreline were closely tied to industry, trade, and the working harbour beyond.

The map reveals Balmain’s strong maritime foundations — from shipyards and wharves to tightly packed streets that grew around them. It reflects a time when the suburb was a centre of shipbuilding and heavy industry, long before its gradual shift into the residential and cultural enclave it is today. Familiar streets sit alongside long-vanished industrial sites, illustrating how the area has continually adapted and evolved.

Printed with fine detail and a restrained, historical palette, this piece works equally well as a statement artwork or a quiet study in urban history. Ideal for Balmain locals, lovers of Sydney’s past, or collectors of vintage cartography, it’s more than decoration — it’s a thoughtful record of a suburb shaped by labour, water, and community.

Fun fact: In the late 1800s, Balmain was so heavily industrialised that it was once nicknamed “the blackened Balmain,” a reference to the coal dust and smoke that filled its air during peak shipbuilding years.

Randwick: Vintage Map Circa 1892 Print

1 review
Regular price $149.00

This circa 1892 colour map of Randwick captures the suburb at a moment when its boundaries — and its future — were still being worked out. Extending south to Coogee, the map places Randwick within the Parishes of Alexandria and Botany, using the surveying framework that defined land ownership and planning across Sydney in the late nineteenth century.

Well-known landmarks such as Centennial Park and the Randwick Racecourse are clearly shown, but it’s the areas in between that make the map especially engaging. Streets appear mid-formation, open land sits beside established routes, and coastal edges toward Coogee hint at a suburb balancing city life with access to the sea. Some roads remain familiar today, while others have shifted, disappeared, or never progressed beyond survey lines.

Printed in original period colour, the map has the quiet confidence of a working document — practical, detailed, and unconcerned with embellishment. It offers an absorbing look at

Fun fact: In the 1890s, travelling from Randwick down to Coogee often meant walking or taking a horse-drawn tram — the direct electric tram line to the beach wouldn’t arrive until the early 1900s.

Avoca & Central Coast Locality Plan, 1950s Print

Regular price $149.00

The 1950s Avoca Locality Plan captures Avoca and its surrounding Central Coast region at a moment when the area was beginning to develop as both a residential and recreational destination. The map spans from Gosford to Broken Bay, including Tuggerah Lake, nearby waterways, roads, and emerging townships, offering a detailed view of the landscape, coastlines, and connections that shaped the region.

Designed with mid-century clarity, the plan highlights the relationship between land and water — the river systems, lakes, and coastline — showing how communities were laid out in harmony with the natural environment. Roads linking Avoca to neighboring towns, holiday cottages along the foreshore, and early subdivision patterns reveal a region on the cusp of growth, long before modern urban sprawl.

More than a map, it’s a historical snapshot: a record of how Melburnians and Sydneysiders might have explored the Central Coast, or how locals planned settlements, farms, and access to the bays, lakes, and beaches that define the area today.

Fun Fact: Tuggerah Lake, shown on the map, was once a hub for small-scale fishing and boating, connecting coastal communities long before the highway system made travel to Sydney or Newcastle easier.
